The 2025 Osaka Expo marks Japan’s first World Expo in 55 years, returning to Osaka for this world-class event.
The theme is:

"Designing Future Society for Our Lives" (いのち輝く未来社会のデザイン)

4.  How to Reserve Pavilions?




Stage Timing Reservation Details
Stage 1 3 to 2 months before entry Lottery: Choose 5 preferred pavilions/events. 1 will be selected.
Stage 2 1 month to 8 days before entry Lottery: Same process, select 5 preferences, 1 will be chosen.
Stage 3 3 to 1 days before entry Remaining slots announced. No lottery. First-come, first-served basis.
Stage 4 Day of entry Same-day reservation available. Can reserve next pavilion 10 minutes after entry. Up to 4 reservations per day.

‧ All reservations and entries must be made through your official Expo website account, and QR code presentation is required for access.

‧ Visitors who successfully participate in Stage 4 reservations can visit up to 4 pavilions or events on the same day.




5. Transportation to the Expo



Since there is no parking available near Yumeshima, it is highly recommended to use public transportation such as the subway, JR trains, or buses.


1. JR Sakurajima Station → Direct Shuttle Bus


Take the shuttle bus from JR Sakurajima Station (P17) directly to the West Gate of the Expo venue.

Shuttle buses to the Expo depart from major stations across the Kansai region.
Advance reservation is required via the Kansai travel app “KANSAI MaaS.”
The fare is ¥350 and the journey takes approximately 15 minutes.

The West Gate is accessible via station shuttle buses, direct airport buses, and P&R (Park and Ride) shuttle buses.
According to current reservation trends, slots for the East Gate tend to fill up faster,
whereas West Gate reservations are generally more available.

2. Osaka Metro Chuo Line → Yumeshima Station


From central Osaka, you can take the Osaka Metro Chuo Line directly to Yumeshima Station (C09), which leads to the East Gate.




6. Important Notes for Entering the Expo



  1. Security checks are required before entry, so if you have pavilion reservations, be sure to arrive at least one hour early.

  2. The Expo is completely cashless. Only credit cards, electronic payments, or the official app’s digital wallet are accepted.

  3. Tripods and selfie sticks are not allowed inside the venue.

  4. Canned and bottled beverages are prohibited from being brought into the venue.

  5. Paper maps are not distributed at the Expo site.
    To save time and cost, we recommend downloading the official PDF map in advance and saving it to your device.

  6. Vehicles and motorcycles cannot directly enter the venue.If you are driving, you must park in a designated parking lot outside and take the P&R shuttle bus to the venue.

  7. Please store large luggage at your hotel or other external facilities.While there is a luggage storage area at the venue, it only accommodates 100 items, and the fee is ¥10,000 per item.We recommend using luggage storage at Bentencho Station or Sakurajima Station, where the cost is around ¥1,000 per item.


  8. Be sure to screenshot your ticket’s QR Code in advance.Due to potential crowding, communication near the entrance may become unstable, preventing proper display of your QR Code.
